The yellow garden is ended with a low varigated box hedge, visible here in the snow.
Because I started with a piece of flat ground in full sun I didn't want to plant trees on the open side so instead put in a circle of posts strung with rope. Believe it or not I am just having to replace the rope put up in 1992 or 3. Each post has clematis or old roses.
The design is the old circle in a square. the circle repeated throughout the garden. Here on the posts as wire balls.
